Privacy Policy
This privacy policy describes how and when I collect, use, and share information when you order from me or use my services through Blacksoulcreation.com or the sites and services linked to it.
These rules do not apply to the practices of third parties that I do not own or control, including Odoo or any third party services you may access through Odoo. You can consult Odoo's Privacy Policy to learn more about the site's practices on this subject.
1-The informations that I collect
To process your order, you must provide me with certain information (which you have authorized Odoo to transmit to me), including your name, email, postal address, payment details, as well as the description of the product you are ordering. You can also decide to provide me with certain additional personal information (for an order of personalized jewelry, for example), by contacting me directly.
2-Why I need your information and how I use it.
I rely on a number of legal bases to collect, use and share your information, including:
- To provide my services to you, for example when I use your information to process your order, resolve a dispute or provide customer service;
- When you have given me your explicit consent, which you can revoke at any time, for example by subscribing to my newsletter;
- If necessary, to respond to a legal obligation, a legal judgment or in connection with a request from justice such as for example the fact of retaining information concerning your purchases within the framework of tax legislation;
- and where necessary, to further my legitimate interests, in case those legitimate interests are not overridden by your rights or interests, such as 1) providing and improving my services. I use your information to provide the services you have requested from me and in my legitimate interest in improving those services; and 2) compliance with the Seller Rules and Odoo Terms of Use. I use your information, if necessary, to comply with my obligations defined by the Seller Rules and the Odoo Terms of Use.
3- Sharing and disseminating information
Information about my customers is important to my business. I only share your personal information for a very limited number of reasons, and in a limited number of circumstances such as :
- Odoo. I share your information with Odoo when necessary to provide my services to you and comply with my obligations set out in the Odoo Seller Policies and Terms of Use.
- Service providers. I use certain third parties that I trust to carry out certain actions or provide certain services for my store - transport companies for example. I may have to share your personal information with these third parties, but only that which is essential to the provision of these services.
- Activity transfers. If I sell my business or merge it with another, I may have to disclose your information as part of that transaction but only to the extent permitted by law.
- Compliance with legislation. I may collect, use, preserve and share your information if I have a good faith belief that doing so is necessary and reasonable to: (a) respond to legal process or government request; (b) enforce my agreements, terms or regulations; (c) prevent, investigate or manage any fraud or other illegal activity, or technical or security issues; or (d) protect the rights, property, and safety of my customers or others.
4-Data retention
I retain your information only for as long as necessary to provide you with my services and for the purposes set out in my privacy policy. I may also need to retain this information to comply with legislative and legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce my commitments. I generally keep them for a period of: 4 years.
5-Transfers of personal information outside the EU
I may potentially store and process your information through third-party hosts located in the United States or other countries. I may therefore transfer your personal information to a jurisdiction where the laws regarding data protection and government surveillance are different from those in your country. If I need to transfer your personal information outside the European Union, I rely on the Privacy Shield as the legal basis for this, as Google Cloud is Privacy Shield certified.
6-Your rights
If you are a resident of certain territories, including the European Union, you have certain rights relating to your personal information. Some of these rights apply generally, and others only in limited circumstances. These rights are described below :
1-Access. You may have the right to access and receive a copy of the personal information I hold about you by contacting me. You will find my contact details below.
2- Edit, restrict, delete. You may also have the right to modify your personal information, restrict my use of it, or delete it. Apart from exceptional circumstances (for example if I had to keep data linked to my store for legal reasons), I will generally delete your personal information upon simple request.
- Oppose. You can object to 1) me processing certain of your information for my legitimate interests and 2) receiving marketing messages from me after you have explicitly consented to receive them. In these specific cases, I will delete your personal information unless I have legitimate grounds to continue using it, or in cases where it is necessary for legal reasons.
- Complain. If you are resident in the European Union and would like to raise concerns about my use of your information (and without prejudice to any other rights you may have), you can do so with your local data protection authorities.
